Common questions
Is real money involved?
No. The trainer is education only. There are no bets, no accounts and no real-money gambling.
What are outs?
Outs are the cards left in the deck that would improve your hand to a likely winner. Counting them is the first step in pricing any decision.
What are pot odds?
Pot odds compare the price of a call with the size of the pot. If the chance of winning is higher than the price you are paying, the call is worth it over time.
What is the rule of 2 and 4?
A quick estimate: multiply your outs by 4 with two cards to come, or by 2 with one card to come, to get a rough percentage chance of hitting.
Why does an ER doctor teach poker math?
I use poker as a safe training ground for deciding under pressure with incomplete information. It is the same skill emergency medicine demands every shift.
Is anything I do saved or sent?
No. The trainer runs in your browser.
